In 2006 I was asked to do the annual t shirt for The Wooden Boat Festival. The guest speaker was a guy who wrote a book about the sinking of the Steamship Farallon in Cook Inlet , he told an amazing story of survival. I commemorated that event as well.
Let's get totally goofy! Here is a box design for Alaska Animal Crackers. It had two flavors , Vanilla and Chocolate. We did the box for each with a different design. This is the winter theme version for the Vanilla.
Salmon need a raft and eagles need float planes to get around in this crazy world of Alaskan animals. This is the chocolate cookie box for no particular reason. I also designed the molds for the cookies.
One of my first illustrations for a book. Janet Klein of the Pratt Museum wrote this book and I did the cover. Pick it up at the Pratt Museum, it's an excellent histroy of the area.
On my own time and dime I did a series of four comic books about Homer life seen through the lives of a bunch of Homer Hippies. It spans about twenty years so there are some changes. I sell them on ebay.
My only cd cover is this collection of stories written by Sharon Bushell. Her husband Johnny B. does the tunes.
Leo Vait and I did an exhibiton of work at the Pratt Museum. I had a lot of fish paintings and he had a lot of stonework sculptures. This poster tried to combine the concepts.
For many years I was active in local theater acting, designing and painting sets and of course doing posters and other graphic art. This is a hand screened poster for Music Man.
Another hand screened poster for the classic "Fiddler on the Roof. I like the blocky style and color simplicity of the hand silk screen process although it's been many years since I've done it.
