Model Airplanes wheels down displays

Some Airplanes look good with their gear down, sitting on the tarmac just waiting

My favorite WWII fighter, the F4U Corsair in Navy markings gets top billing on this page. This view shows the beautiful bent wing bird at it's best.  I chose to drop the wheels but not the flaps for the best profile.

Here she is from the rear, showing another veiw of the distinctive wing style of the Corsair.

Another warbird that looks good on the ground is the graceful British Spitfire. I got out some of the very well made scale pilots from the 21st Centurey builders and grouped them around .

Here's more of a side view that displays the lean looks of the Spitfire.

One more view of the Spitfire and pilots from the side. The pilot in the middle is wearing the flight dress of the Royal Airforce while the other two are in 8th Airforce gear of the U. S.

Here's the mighty P 47 in natural metal and black. I have the bubble top canopy of this model pulled back so you can see the driver.

Possible the best view of the ol jug is from the rear. I like the look the tail fillet added to later models but this is the one they sell at 21st Century right now.
